ItalianoThe Sound of Goodness
Let us colour the world with music.
A permanent inclusion project that transforms music and art into concrete opportunities for expression, connection and participation.
Music is a common good
The Sound of Goodness was born from the belief that everyone should have the opportunity to experience beauty, express their own voice and take part in the cultural life of the community.
Fondazione Accademia Ducale brings together artistic, educational and social expertise to create accessible programmes for children, young people and adults, with particular attention to people with autism and different disabilities.
Three words, one commitment
Expression
Music, rhythm, voice and visual arts become accessible languages through which emotions, wishes and identities can be communicated.
Connection
Workshops and shared experiences build trust among participants, families, educators, artists and the local community.
Participation
Inclusion takes shape through real tasks, meaningful responsibilities and an active presence in cultural venues.
A journey that grows over time
The beginning: music and solidarity
The project takes shape through Fondazione Accademia Ducale and Opera Don Guanella – Servants of Charity. A concert tour in Basilicata, Brussels and Matera brings great music together with charitable fundraising.
From 15 to 28 July, Villaggio Tabor in Acerenza hosts an experience devoted to connection, creativity and support for people living in vulnerable circumstances.
Workshops, families and community
Between February and July, twenty children and young people on the autism spectrum take part in music therapy and art therapy workshops. Families, educators and professionals work together to create a space for listening, communication and growth.
The programme concludes with a collective event open to the community and the official documentary The Sound of Goodness. Let us colour the world with music.
From inclusion to active participation
The project enters the world of live performance. During six concerts in the Artistic Season at Teatro Francesco Stabile in Potenza, people with disabilities take an active role in the organisation.
- welcoming and guiding the audience;
- assisting ushers and front-of-house staff;
- distributing materials;
- guided support with attendance lists and ticketing.
Music, art and participation
Faces, instruments and artworks tell the story of a journey in which everyone can find their own way to express themselves and contribute to the life of the group.

The Time of Theatre
Six concerts at Teatro Francesco Stabile in Potenza become concrete opportunities for active inclusion and shared responsibility: participants help welcome and guide the audience and support front-of-house services.
