THE SOUND OF GOODNESS

Music as an educational, inclusive, and transformative path

The Sound of Goodness is more than just a project—it’s a cornerstone of the Fondazione Accademia Ducale Centro Studi Musicali and the heart of its social and cultural mission. It is based on the belief that music is not only a form of artistic expression, but also a universal language that breaks down barriers, builds connections, and helps people unlock their potential. At its core, it’s a powerful tool for inclusion, healing, and personal growth.

A shared vision

In partnership with Opera Don Guanella – Servants of Charity Opera Don Guanella – Servi della Carità,

with whom we share common values and an educational vision, we have developed a program that brings together culture, spirituality, and social responsibility.
Inspired by the Guanellian charism—which sees each person, especially the most vulnerable, as a treasure to be cherished and uplifted—The Sound of Goodness was born.
This ongoing initiative is dedicated to children and young people with disabilities, offering them musical experiences where they feel welcomed, seen, and actively involved.

A purpose that guides us

For us, music is a tool for social justice. That’s why we are committed to making it accessible to everyone, especially those who are often pushed to the margins. Through The Sound of Goodness, we support the overall well-being of each person—encouraging not only cognitive, motor, and creative development, but also building trust, a sense of belonging, and personal dignity. We do this by creating inclusive, authentic spaces where differences are not obstacles, but opportunities for shared growth and connection.

Concrete goals, real impact

We believe that music is a powerful tool for inclusion, growth, and connection. That’s why we offer personalized music programs for young people with disabilities—helping them express themselves, communicate, and feel like active members of the community. In our workshops, music becomes a bridge between different worlds. It promotes interaction with peers without disabilities, supports independence, and strengthens emotional and social bonds. We work closely with educators, musicians, caregivers, and volunteers to help build a truly inclusive culture.
Our goal is to bring music back to its deepest purpose: to unite, to heal, and to educate.

A structural and ongoing path

The Sound of Goodness comes to life through a series of ongoing annual activities: summer camps, school workshops, inclusive ensembles, e-learning projects, and music production. These are not one-off events, but part of a continuous and deeply rooted commitment—driven by the goal of building a sustainable, replicable educational model.

With the support of the Fondo Nazionale Spettacolo dal Vivo and other partners, the Foundation is working to strengthen and expand the program, deepening its impact and promoting a culture that is truly accessible and inclusive.

We believe in a culture that cares—where music is not just entertainment, but a companion and a force for transformation. The Sound of Goodness gives a voice to those who are too often unheard. We create spaces where every form of expression is welcome, every talent is supported, and every vulnerability is met with dignity and respect.Because when music connects with the human spirit, it has the power to create real and lasting change.
